Obituary Online notes for Thelma WOODYARD
Thelma Johnson, entered Heaven Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, surrounded by her family.

Thelma was born Jan. 8, 1930, to Bart and Dallie Woodyard, in London, Ky.

In 1950, she married Ledford Johnson and moved to Fort Worth, where they made home for the next 60 years and raised their four children.

Thelma was a life long active member of Burton Hill Baptist Church. Thelma never met a stranger - she was always smiling, giving hugs, compliments and talked to anyone and everyone. She was a wife, mother, sister, aunt, and good friend to many. She loved her family and friends and was one of a kind and when God made her He broke the mold. She will be missed tremendously.

Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Ledford; sons, Barry and Richard; parents, Bart and Dallie Woodyard; one brother; and one sister.

Survivors: Daughter, Peggy Johnson of Fort Worth; son, Garry Johnson of Brookesmith; grandchildren, Micah and Jessica Johnson of Fort Worth and Melissa Johnson of Denton; two great-grandchildren, Connor and Declan of Fort Worth; nephew, Freddie Shelton (Cricket) of Shephersville, Ky.; niece, Karen Little of Louisville, Ky.; brother, Stephen Woodyard (Aileen) of Lexington, Ky., Henry Woodyard (Martha Johnson) of London, Ky., Harold Woodyard of Fort Worth, Indiana, Johnny Woodyard (Doretta) of London, Ky., Wilma Lockaby of Brownsburg, Ind., Delford Woodyard (Brenda) of London, Ky. and Wanda Shriener (Steve) of Frankfurt, Mich.; also she leaves behind nieces and nephews, cousins, extended family and a host of family and friends.

The family would like to thank Texas Health - Harris Downtown - Heart Center - 4th floor and 1st floor staff for the excellent care our mother received.

When she would tell you how pretty or handsome and she loved you she meant it. We truly appreciate the care she received in the last month.
470, Thelma Woodyard Johnson
