DENTON - Richard L. Johnson, 35, died Monday, March 2, 1998, in Dallas.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Greenwood Funeral Home. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Richard L. Johnson was born Oct. 20, 1962, in Fort Worth.
He had been a Fort Worth resident 29 years. He passed away after a lifelong battle with cystic fibrosis. He was a former shipping employee with Dillards and a graduate of Arlington Heights High School. His hobbies were photography and paint ball sports. He was a member of Burton Hill Baptist Church.
Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and aides at the Heart and Lung Transplant Center at Medical City Dallas for their care and love and to all the other doctors, nurses and respiratory therapists who cared for Richard.
Survivors: Wife of seven years, Nancy Johnson of Denton; daughter, Melissa Leigh Johnson of Denton; parents, Ledford and Thelma Johnson of Fort Worth; brother, Garry Johnson of Brownwood; sister, Peggy Johnson of Fort Worth; maternal grandmother, Dallie Woodyard of London, Ky,; nephew; Micah Johnson; and a host of aunts, uncles and friends.
