Bill served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
He was a member of the Lenarue Missionary Baptist Church.
Bill is preceded in death by his wife, Frankie Clem Barrett; his first wife, Arwana Jean Barrett; his parents, Virgil Barrett and Mary Woodyard Barrett; a daughter, Sandra Daniels Guffy; two step-daughters, Debra Metcalf and Debbie Bolton; four sisters, Ruth Gibson, Mary Napier, Beulah Hall and Doris Boggs; and one brother, Elbert Barrett.
Survivors include four children, William Theodore Barrett and wife, Jackie; Cathy Wilder and husband, Fetter; David Barrett; and Mark Barrett and wife, Gail, all of Somerset; three step-children, Kathy June Sawyers, Lexington; Regina Dodson and husband, Don, Florence, KY; and Richard Metcalf, Florida; one brother, Jack Barrett and wife, Rippi, Harlan; and three sisters, Betty Barrett, Cawood; Bertha Bolton and husband, James, Cawood; and Peggy Ray, Baxter.
