Sandra Dean Barrett Guffey, 54 years of age, of the Oak Hill community in Pulaski County, Kentucky, departed this life and entered into eternal peace on Sunday, October 7th, 2012 at her residence.
Sandra was born in Harlan, Kentucky on November 19th, 1957, daughter of Bill and Arwana Calhoun Barrett. Sandra was a homemaker, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and family, and was a member of the Valley View Church of God.
She was survived by her loving husband, Lloyd Guffey; two sons, Jason Lee Barrett I of Hilton Head, South Carolina and Norman Jamie Daniels of Eubank, Kentucky; her parents, Bill and Arwana Barrett; four brothers, Mark (and Gail) Barrett, David (and Penny) Barrett, and Billy (and Jackie) Barrett, all of Somerset, Kentucky and Richard (and Kathy) Metcalf of Tallahassee, Florida; one sister, Cathy (and Fetter) Wilder of Science Hill, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Jason Lee Barrett II and Jaylenn Arwana Daniels; and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Debra Phillips.
Visitations were held on Wednesday, October 10th, 2012 after 6:00 p.m. at the Southern Oaks Funeral Home in Somerset, Kentucky. Visitations were also held on Thursday, October 11th after 11:00 a.m. at the Valley View Church of God.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 11th, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Valley View Church of God with Bro. Fetter Wilder and Bro. Eric Barnes officiating.
Interment followed in the Stanford Pike Cemetery in Somerset, Kentucky.
