Nellie Lee Smith married 17 October 1912 in Kennett, Dunklin, MO to Columbus Johnson Owens of Holcomb, Dunklin, MO.

They had three children, Robert Johnson Owens b 1910 in Holcomb, MO; Columbus A. Owens born 20 Feb 1914 and died 28 July 1914 from pneumonia and buried beside Nellie; and a little girl who didn't live long enough to be named born 24 April 1915 and died 25 April 1915 due to premature birth.

After Columbus died, Nellie married Albert Wilson Moyer in 1919 in Holcomb, MO.

Nellie was dau of Ebb Berry Smith and Mary Jane Moore of Holcomb, Dunklin, MO. She was only nine days old when Mary Jane died.

Ebb married secondly. Nellie is buried in Lloyd Cemetery beside her first husband Columbus Johnson Owens and her first two Owens children.

She was my step-grandmother, the only grandmother I ever knew, and the sweetest woman I ever met.
