Mrs. Maureen O. Tate
    BURLINGTON — Mrs. Maureen O. Tate, 82, of 2210 Wilkins St., went to sleep in Jesus at 8:28 a.m. Thursday, June 10, 2004, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.
    A native of Eden, she was the wife of Mr. Millard Tate, who survives, and the daughter of the late Thomas E. Oakley and Callie Hilton Oakley. She was retired from Burlington Industries and was a member of Northside Presbyterian Church and the Women of the Church P.C.A.
    Survivors other than her husband of the home include a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Carole Tate of Greenville, S.C.; a sister, Mrs. Violet O. Walters of Burlington; a grandson, Mr. Richard A. Tate II of Simpsonville, S.C.; and two great-granddaughters, Jennifer and Tabitha.
    She was preceded in death by a son, Mr. Richard A. Tate.
    The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 13, 2004, at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington by the Rev. Greg Barkman, and the Rev. Jim Mitchell. Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.
    The family will be at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday prior to the service, and at other times at the residence.
