Obituary Online notes for Max Zelf PORCHE
Max Zelf Porche was born in Upper Laurel, Madison County, NC, to John William Porche and Janie English Porche. He was the youngest of four children; older siblings are: Raymond Vance Porche, Ruth Lee Porche, and Mitchell Porche. Daddy lived his early years in Madison County, where he met and married my mother, Doris Metcalf, also from Upper Laurel, NC. They had six children, Mardi Max Porche, Linda Maxine Porche (Farmer), Roger Dale Porche, myself- Deonne Doris Porche (Reese), Michael O' Brien Porche, and Debra June Porche (Jones). Roger died of cancer in 2007.

Daddy's beloved sister, Ruth Porche Brown Early, died far too young in 1963. Raymond died in a vehicle accident in 1978, and Mitchell died shortly thereafter following a heart attack. John Porche, his father, died in 1972, from old age at 97. Janie English Porche, his mother, died in 1979 from kidney failure.

My father will Forever be greatly Missed and Loved.
Everyone who ever knew him remembers him as a kind, gentle, and spiritual man- the kind they don't make anymore. He and my mother were married for over 30 years, and were dedicated to each other till the end. They were exceptional examples of how parents should be.
470, Max Zelf Porche
