BURLINGTON - Mrs. Vallie Griffith Cox, 81, of 1509 W. Davis St. died Sunday in Pickens, S.C.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Rich & Thompson Mortuary. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery in Elon College.
A native of Alamance County, she was a member of First Christian United Church of Christ and a former Alamance County veterans assistant.
Surviving are son, Hugh N. Cox of Pickens; sister, Mrs. Maybell G. Hawkins of Burlington; two grandchildren.
The family will be at the mortuary 12:30-2 p.m. Tuesday.
