Ada "Marie" Hunt, 92, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2014, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin. She was a resident of Franklin.
Marie was born Sept. 11, 1921, in Kennett, Missouri, to Noah Leonard and Delia Rowena (Livingston) Street.
She married William Ernest Hunt on March 10, 1941. He preceded her in passing on March 29, 2000.
Marie is survived by children, Ernest "David" (Nancy) Hunt of Fort Mill, South Carolina, Linda Joyce (Richard) Isley and Carmen Lee Pierce, both of Franklin; grandchildren, Jeff (Debbie) McLary, Stephanie (David) Abrams, Michelle (Steve) Quick, Michael Hunt, Stephen (Amy) Hunt, Lisa (Rich) Hovey, Chris (Shelby) Johnson, Pam Reynolds (Howard Moore), Matt Pierce and Melinda (Doug) Chapman; stepgrandchildren, Carl (Tina) Isley Jr. and Christina Isley; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; her husband, Bill; a daughter, Janet McLary; and stepgrandson, Ron Isley.
Marie attended school in Missouri. She was a homemaker who loved her church, gardening and spending time with her family.
She was a member of New Life Baptist Church in Franklin. In her later years, she attended Franklin Memorial Christian Church with her daughter Carmen. She enjoyed the fellowship of Bible study groups.
The Rev. Larry McAdams will conduct a service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Franklin United Methodist Community Wright Chapel, 1070 W. Jefferson St., Franklin. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the chapel. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
