Herbert R. Slack, 94, died Tuesday, Aug. 12, at Britthaven.
The graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Guilford Memorial Park.
He was a native of Guilford County and was employed with Duke Power Company for 45 years.
Survivors include his daughters, Estelle "Scotty" Scott of Greensboro, Ruby Lambert of Atlanta, Ga., and Irma Gravitt of Atlanta, Ga.; a son, Walter Slack of Spokane, Wash.; a brother, Jack Slack of High Point; 12 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Covenant Church at 3027-D Randleman Rd., Greensboro, N.C. 27406.
