Sammy Williams 


    ELON — Leland Samuel "Sammy" Williams , age 31, of East Haggard Avenue, passed away suddenly Wednesday, August 9, 2006 at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill.
    A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Leland Kenneth and Patricia Sadler Williams . He was a member of Stony Creek Presbyterian Church, employed by Kemco of Burlington Inc. and a 1992 graduate of Western Alamance High School.
    He leaves behind precious memories to his daughter, Sierra Madison Williams  of Gibsonville; parents, Leland Kenneth Williams  and Patricia Sadler Williams  of Burlington; sister, Susan Gwynn and husband, Jesse, of Burlington; paternal grandmother, Faye Hill Williams ; and niece, Sadler Grace Gwynn.
    He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Samuel Burgess Sadler and Jean Walker Sadler Primm; and paternal grandfather, Leland Tracy Williams .
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 12, 2006, at Stony Creek P resbyterian Church by the Rev. Kenneth Hickey, pastor. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
    Mr. Williams  will remain at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory until taken to the church to lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service.
    The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the home of his parents, 636 Stoney Creek Church Road.
    Memorials may be made to Stony Creek Presbyterian Church, 2140 Stoney Creek Church Road, Burlington, N.C. 27217 or donations may be made to Sierra M. Williams  Trust Fund, c/o MidCarolina Bank.
