Alice Faye Boone Ross
BURLINGTON – Alice Faye Boone Ross, 83, passed away on Monday, April 6, 2020 at Moses Cone Hospital. She was born on August 14, 1936 in Alamance County to the late Sion Lawrence Boone and Vernie McIntyre Boone, and was the wife of 65 years to Eddie “Dub” Ross who survives.
Alice Faye retired after 37 years with AT&T. She was a member of Berea Christian Church, where she was a former Sunday school teacher. Alice Faye enjoyed working with ceramics, crocheting and making baskets.
Survivors other than her husband, Eddie “Dub” Ross include her daughter, Trudy Ross Kernodle and husband, Randy; granddaughter, Kim Hauser and husband, Jay; grandson, TJ Kernodle; great grandchildren, Abigail and Carter Hauser; brother, Jerrell “Pitt” Boone, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Sara Brown and Brenda Allred.
A private service for the family will be held by Rev. Jeff Smith. Live streaming of the service will be available at 10:00am Thursday, April 9, 2020 at www.lowefuneralhome.com .The burial will be held at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence.
