BURLINGTON — Calvin Lee Smith, Sr. 60 of 920 Bellvue St., died suddenly Tuesday September 24, 2002 at Alamance Regional Medical Center .
A native of Durham County, he was the husband of Linda Hauser Smith who survives and the son of the late George Calvin Smith and Inez Coleman Smith of Burlington who survives. He worked for Culp Weaving for 19 years.
Survivors include his wife of the home; daughters, Ms. Gayle Lea Miller and Ms. Deidre Elaine Brown both of Greensboro; stepdaughter, Sheila Farrell and her husband Hugh of Burlington; stepson, George Russell Jones of the home; sister, Shirley Williams and her husband W.L. of Burlington; brother, J.C. Smith and his wife Ann of Burlington; grandchildren, Robbie Lewis, Jennifer Lewis, Ryan Brown, Evan Farrell and Eric Farrell.
He was preceded in death by a son, Calvin Lee Smith, Jr.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Dr. Russell A. Morris and George Russell Jones. Interment will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and at other times at the mother’s home at 921 Bellvue St. in Burlington.3, Calvin Lee Smith Sr.
