Larry Neal Clapp, 91, of Elon, NC passed away at Liberty Commons on Friday, August 2, 2024.
A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of the late Betty Jean Grigg Clapp and the son of Luke Vernon Clapp and Lahoma Mercida Overman Clapp, both deceased.
He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and employed with Rexham Printing where he ran the printing press. Larry was an active NRA member and loved horses, hunting, and fishing. He was a member of Gibsonville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Sheri Owen and husband Alvin of Gibsonville; son, Greg Clapp and wife Maria of Liberty; five grandchildren, Jason Owen, Gary Owen, Lacy Clapp, Benjamin Clapp, and Ally Crawford; and six great grandchildren, Charlotte Grace Clapp, Hanna Thompson, Jordan Thompson, Caleb Owen, Jessalynn Owen, and Avery Owen.
The family will receive friends at Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Sunday, August 4, 2024 from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m.
A graveside service will be conducted at Alamance Memorial Park on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. by Pastor Jay O’Dell. 261, Larry Neal Clapp
