Betty Lou Warf Ross
REIDSVILLE — Betty Lou Warf Ross, 80, of Reidsville went home to be with The Lord on Sunday, January 3, 2016, at Penn Nursing Center.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m., Friday, January 8, 2016, at Wilkerson Funeral Home with the Rev. Todd Felkel and the Rev. Dave Gilbert officiating. Burial will follow in Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery in Elon. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home and at other times at her residence.
Mrs. Ross was born in Rockingham County to the late William and Mary Lou Harris Warf. She was a faithful member of Bethlehem Christian Church in Altamahaw and a former member of Reidsville Christian Church. She was a longtime employee of Lorillard and retired after 41 years of service. She was very outgoing and enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially meeting at the Sanitary Café.
Along with her parents, she was also preceded in death by her loving husband, James Paul Ross after 26 years of marriage; stepdaughter, Zetta Ross Isley; brothers, James and Leroy Warf; sisters, Olene Warf Gammon, Willie Mae Warf and Ruth Warf.
Mrs. Ross is survived by her brother, William “Bill” Warf and wife, Margaret of Wesley Chapel, FL; stepdaughter, Sylvia Ross Greeson and husband, Ken of Whitsett, NC; stepson, Donald Ross and wife, Debbie of Burlington, NC; six grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren; nephews, Timothy Warf of Reidsville and Randy Gammon and wife, Toni of Danville, VA; and boyfriend, Herman Powell of Ruffin, NC.
