ELON COLLEGE - Mrs. Barbara Louise Petty Ross, 62, of 2149 Gerringer Mill Road, died Friday, March 20, 1998, at Duke University Medical Center in Durham after several years of failing health, two days critical.
She was the daughter of Mr. Emmitt Lee Petty and Mrs. Zetta Lee Medley Petty, both deceased. She was formerly employed by Burlington Industries, Pioneer Plant. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Burlington.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. David (Sylvia R.) Bazal of Mebane; a son, Mr. Donald P. Ross of Burlington; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Zetta Ross Isley.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Bethlehem Christian Church, by the Rev. Dave Gilbert, pastor. The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes before the service. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will be at Lowe Funeral Home from 6 to 8 this evening and at other times at the home.
