Daniel Lee Madren


BURLINGTON - Daniel Lee Madren, 76, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a native of Alamance County and the husband of 55 years to Loretta Boswell Madren who survives.
Daniel retired from TST as a truck driver. He was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church serving faithfully as a choir member, Sunday School teacher, Deacon and active in the men’s fellowship. He recently received Senior Citizen of the year for 2019 at his church. Daniel was also a Master Mason of Bula Lodge #409 as well as having served on the board of the A-O Fire Department. He volunteered along with his wife with Meals on Wheels of Alamance County. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta B. Madren of the home; children, Greg Madren; Marsha Hatch (Allen) and Rodney Madren (Eleni) all of Burlington; grandchildren, Grant and Logan Madren, Danielle Cozort (Buck), Connor Hatch, Evi, Lucas and Natalie Madren all of Burlington and Blake Miller of Macon, Georgia; great grandson, Brycen Madren of Burlington; brother, Steve Madren( Patsy) of Burlington and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Daniel and Annie Lee Beckom Madren and a brother, Donnie Madren.
The family would like to thank the family and friends for their kindness and support during Daniels brief battle with cancer.
A service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Bethlehem Christian Church by Rev. Todd Felkel and burial will follow in the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:45 PM prior to the service at the church and other times at the home.
