Mr. Freddie L. Cobb

BURLINGTON — Mr. Freddie Lee Cobb, 59, of 4230 Union Ridge Road, died at 11:05 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 1999, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after several years of failing health.

A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Mrs. Janice Holt Cobb, who survives, and the late Mrs. Faye Nicks Cobb.

He was the son of Mr. Herman Cobb and Mrs. Lucy Taylor Cobb, both deceased.

He was a retired contractor and former route salesman for Goodmark Foods-Jesse Jones Division in Garner.

He was a member of Union Ridge United Church of Christ and past-president of Lakeview Civitan Club.

Survivors other than his wife of the home include a daughter, Mrs. Delisa Cobb Mercer of Gibsonville; a son, Mr. Bryant L. Cobb of Burlington; a sister, Mrs. J.B. (Gaynell) Bruner of Burlington; two brothers, Mr. Edward Cobb of Burlington and Mr. Ronald Cobb of Haw River; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Jeff (Sherri) Faircloth of Summerfield; and one grandchild.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Union Ridge United Church of Christ
by the Rev. Phil Hardy and Elder Wallis Smith.

Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.

The family will be at McClure Funeral Home in Burlington from 7 to 9 this evening, and at other times at the home. 3, Freddie Lee Cobb
