Mr. Raymond E. "Ray" Neece
    ELON — Mr. Raymond E. "Ray" Neece, 64, of 963 Sonny Lane, died at 5:15 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 31, 2004 at home after several years of failing health and one day of critical illness.
    A native of Logan County, W. Va., he was the husband of Mrs. Carol Whitesell Neece, who survives, and the son of Harry B. Neece and Ada Howard Neece, both deceased. He was retired from J. H. Wilkerson Company and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elon.
    Survivors other than his wife of the home, include two daughters, Miss Deborah Neece of Graham and Mrs. Rebecca Crawford and husband, Ronald of Elon; and a brother, Mr. Harry J. Neece and wife, Helen of Franklinville.
    He was preceded in death by two sisters and eight brothers.
    The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. today at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington by Rev. Mark Mofield. Burial will be in Gibsonville City Cemetery.
    The family will receive friends from 2-3 this afternoon at Rich & Thompson Mortuary, prior to the service. Other times they will be at the residence.
