Lacy Quint "LQ" Tickle
Lacy Quint “LQ” Tickle, 81, went to be with his Savior, Saturday, June 22, 2024 at Alamance Hospice Home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at Brightwood Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm on Friday, June 28, 2024 at the church.
LQ was born August 5, 1942 in Guilford County to the late Henry Monroe and Mozelle Summers Tickle.
He was a member of Brightwood Church, where he served as a Deacon, and was a former member of Bethel Presbyterian Church. He graduated from Gaston Tech (NCSU). LQ worked for the NC Department of Transportation, Trulove Engineering, and later owned his own surveying company for over 50 years. He was a member of Rock Creek Saddle Club and the American Paint Horse Association.
LQ is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carolyn Faye Tickle; daughter, Tammy Tickle Nance (Tracy); sons, Timothy Quint Tickle (Dana), Travis Tickle (Cristy), and Tracy Tickle; grandchildren, Cara Nance (Keenan), Malissa Tickle, Noah Tickle, Haven Tickle Taylor (Harrison), Maycee Tickle, Hanna Tickle, Ryder Tickle, Henry Tickle, and Olivia Tickle; sisters, Eva Allen (Sonny, dec.), and Harriett Phipps (Harden);and brothers, Monroe Tickle (Susie), and William Tickle (Shirley).
The family would like to offer a special thanks to Donny and Amey Shepherd, Ronnie and Sandy Jarrett, Doris Holyfield, Harriett and Ashley Phipps, and AuthoraCare of Burlington for all of their love and support.
