Peggy Elizabeth Moore
Peggy Elizabeth Mansfield Moore, 84 died peacefully at the Hospice Home on Saturday, August 13, 2022 after several years of failing health. A native of Alamance County, she was born February 11, 1938 to the late Kalsie Calvin and Beulah Beatrice Porter Mansfield and was the wife of 56 years to the late Robert Earnest Moore, Sr.
Peggy attended Pilgrim Baptist Church for many years. She enjoyed shopping, driving, talking on the telephone and singing at church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her sons, Calvin Eugene Ragan (Kathy), Delton Boyd Ragan (Janice), Robert Earnest Moore, Jr. (Gail); daughters, Debra Sue Flood (Jimmie), Robbin Catrina Wilson; fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren; brother, Melvin Lee Mansfield (Louise); and brother-in-law, Ricky Flood. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; sons, Ronnie Marshall Ragan, Tony Lynn Moore and sisters, Brenda Mae Flood and Shirley Ann Monroe.
A service to celebrate Peggy’s life will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, August 17, 2022 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Mike Jones with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:45 prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the son, Robert’s home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to AuthoraCare Collective (Hospice Home) of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
