Robert Ernest Moore, Sr.
GIBSONVILLE – Robert Ernest Moore, Sr., 80, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at the Hospice Home.
A native of Alamance County, he was born December 13, 1937 to the late Ronnie Mallie and Betty Sue Alcorn Moore and was the husband of 56 years to Peggy Elizabeth Mansfield Moore of the home.
Robert was a US Army veteran and attended Open Bible Baptist Church. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Peggy; sons, Robert E. Moore, Jr. and wife Precious Gail, Calvin E. Ragan and wife Kathy and Dale Ragan and wife Janice; daughters, Robbin Catrina Wilson and Debra Sue Flood and husband Jimmy; 14 grandchildren, 13 greatgrandchildren and a brother, William Henry Moore.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Ronnie Marshall Ragan and Tony Lynn Moore; five brothers and three sisters.
A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Alamance Memorial Park by Pastor Steve Pruitt.
The family will receive friends 11:45 - 12:45 p.m. prior to the service at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Rd., Burlington, NC 27215.
