Mr. Joseph W. Tysor

BURLINGTON — Mr. Joseph Waters Tysor, 94, of 2509 Briarwood Drive, died at 9:50 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2000, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

A native of Chatham County, he was the husband of Mrs. Mildred Burns Tysor and Mrs. Lois Gerringer Tysor, both deceased.

He was the son of Mr. Robert Lee Tysor and Mrs. Kate Johnston McKay Tysor, both deceased.

He was retired from Burlington Mills and Culp Upholstery Prints. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Dorene Brotherton and Mrs. Joretta Tysor, both of Burlington and Mrs. Patricia Ockenhouse of Haw River; a son, Mr. Barnie Tysor of Graham; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Shirley Fleeman of Burlington; 12 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-stepgrandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. Ernest Beck and the Rev. Howard Thompson.

Burial will be in Alamance Memorial Park.

The family will be at McClure Funeral Home in Burlington from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the home.3, Mr. Joseph W. Tysor
