Jean Crouse Lemons, 76, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 8, 2023 at Ashton Place.
She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of 56 years to Dr. Norman “Jack” Calvin Lemons who survives.
She was the daughter of the late Roy Banks and Violet Walker Crouse.
Jean retired from Haywood Simpson Insurance Agency. She was a member of McLeansville Baptist Church where she served beside her husband in the ministry. She was the pastor’s secretary and involved with all aspects of the church activities (VBS, Ladies Helping Hands Christmas Programs, decorating and Banquets). Jean loved children and people making them feel special. She made everything fun with her “Silly” personality. Jean was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Dr. Jack C. Lemons of the home; her daughter, Christie Lemons Ragsdale and husband, Eddie of Brown Summit and her son, Jonathan Mark Lemons and wife, Christine of Mosely, Virginia; grandchildren, Adam Williamson, Jordan Williamson, Andrew Lemons, Elizabeth Lemons Allen and husband, James; great grandchildren, J.R., Blake and Parker Allen; sister-in-law, Gay Crouse of Burlington.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Roger Wayne Crouse and Kenneth Crouse, Sr.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at McLeansville Baptist Church by Rev. Michael Barnette and Rev. Tyler Gaulden with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30-1:45pm on Wednesday.
