Mrs. Violet Lee Walker Crouse
BURLINGTON — Mrs. Violet Lee Walker Crouse, 82, formerly of 237 Westview Drive, died Saturday, January 4, 2003 at the Twin Lakes Center where she resided for the past year. She was a native of Alamance County and the wife of the late Roy Banks Crouse. Her parents were the late Alvis and Jenny Cook Walker. Violet was a member of Glen Raven Baptist Church. She also operated a day care, devoting herself to caring for children throughout her lifetime.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Mrs. Jean Lemons and her husband, Jack of McLeansville, sons and daughter-in-law, Roger Wayne Crouse of Burlington, Kenneth Douglas Crouse and his wife, Gay of Burlington; grandchildren, Ken Crouse, Jr. and his wife, Sandra, Allen Crouse, Christie Williamson and her husband Brian and John Lemons and his wife Chris; great grandchildren, Lizzy and Andrew Lemons, Adam and Jordan Williamson; brother, James P. Walker of Burlington.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents and stepmother, Laura Walker; sisters, Wilma Walker, Gladys Whitesell and Mary Rayle; brother, Lennous Walker.
The funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Janaury 6, 2003 at 2 p.m. at Glen Raven Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Fann, Pastor and Rev. Jack Lemons, officiating. The burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory. Other times the family will be at the home of the son Kenneth Crouse, 254 Westview Drive, Burlington, N.C. 27215. The family would like to thank the staff of Twin Lakes, Hospice and all the home caregivers that demonstrated their love by caring for their mother.
