Wylline Madren Garrison

AUGUST 6, 1936 ~ JULY 15, 2019 (AGE 82)

Burlington- Wylline Madren Garrison, 82, passed away Monday, July 15, 2019 at Hospice Home.  A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Melvin Earl Garrison who survives and daughter of the late Herbert Millard and Myrtle Boswell Madren.  
  
     She was a homemaker, who took pride in taking care of her family.   Wylline was an active member and an ordained Elder of Stony Creek Presbyterian Church, serving on many committees as a volunteer or as an officer and member of the choir. She delivered meals for 25 years as a volunteer for the Alamance County Meals on Wheels program.  She was a member of the North Central Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary where she served as an officer for several years.  Early in her marriage, Wylline was also employed by the Western Electric Corporation.      

     Survivors include her husband, Earl Garrison of the home; daughter, Sharon G. Elosser and husband David of Kernersville; siblings, Harold Madren and wife Geynell, Clyde Madren and wife Pat, Jack Madren and wife Glenda, Larry Madren and wife Cheryl, Kay Wrenn and husband Carl. Brothers in law Mack Garrison, and wife Judy and Wayne Apple. Also surviving are fifty-four nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Faye Apple. 

      Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Stony Creek Presbyterian Church by Rev. Mason Todd, pastor.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory from 6-8pm Friday, July 19th.

      Memorials may be made to Stony Creek Presbyterian Church, Playground Fund; 2140 Stony Creek Church Rd. Burlington, NC 27217
