Mrs. Frankie Patterson Blanchard
Mrs. Frankie Patterson Blanchard, 83, of West Webb Avenue died Sunday afternoon at 4 o'clock in a Graham nursing home following two and one-half years of declining health and five days of critical illness.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of the late John and Sabrah Walter Patterson and the widow of Edward C. Blanchard, Sr. She was a member of Shallowford United Church of Christ.
She is survived by three daughters. Mrs. Robert Alexander of Burlington, Mrs. Mable Barber of Rt. 1. Elon College, and Mrs. Glynden Moore of Rt. 2, Elon College; four sons, Clarence C. Blanchard, Howard E. Blanchard, E. Chester Blanchard, Jr. and John Kenneth Blanchard. all of Burlington; 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren; and one great-greatgrandchild.
Final rite will be held Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock at Shallowford United Church of Christ. The Rev. Richard M. Petersen, pastor, will officiate, assisted by the Rev. Hoyt Roberson, pastor of Brookwood Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The body will remain at Lowe Funeral Home until taken to the church 30 minutes prior to the service. The family will be at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock and at other times, they will be at the home of her son, E. Chester Blanchard, Jr., 2001 S. Mebane St.
