Mr. Warren E. Oakley
MEBANE — Mr. Warren Eddie Oakley, 74, of 510 North First St., died at 6:20 p.m. Sunday, July 22, 2001, at his residence after an illness of one year. A native of Caswell County, he was the husband of Mrs. Ruth Lee Warren Oakley, who survives, and the son of John Henry Oakley and Nancy Elizabeth Blalock Oakley, both deceased. He was the owner and operator of Mebane Lawn Mower Repair and was a member of McCray Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors other than his wife of the home include two daughters, Mrs. Janice O. Kenyon and Mrs. Patricia “Trisha” Lynch, both of Mebane; two sisters, Mrs. Doris Edwards of Reidsville and Mrs. Katie Sue Hunt of Haw River; a brother, Hubert Oakley of Mebane; four granddaughters, Mrs. Sherry Neese, Mrs. Tammy Yeatts, Ms. Heather Lynch and Ms. Sarah Lynch; two grandsons, Jerry Kenyon Jr. and Justin Lynch; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister; and 10 brothers. The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Wednesday at McCray Primitive Baptist Church by Elder Wallis Smith and Elder Harold Pittman. Burial will be in Coopers Cemetery in Prospect Hill. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times on Saturday at the home.
