MEBANE — Mrs. Ruth Lee Warren Oakley, 87, of 510 North First Street, Mebane, died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at her residence.
A native of Caswell County, N.C., she was a homemaker.
Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Oakley Lynch and husband Murray, of Mebane, N.C.; grandchildren, Sherry Neese and husband Tim of Liberty, N.C., Tamara Yeatts and husband Ronald of Mebane, Heather Burns and husband Shane of Durham, N.C., and Justin Lynch, Sarah Lynch and Jerry Kenyon Jr., all of Mebane; great-grandchildren, Jessica Neese, Victoria Neese, Brianna Neese, Maddison Yeatts and Griffin Yeatts.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Nannie Malone Warren; husband, Warren Eddie Oakley; and a daughter, Janice Oakley Kenyon.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Thursday in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane by Elder Ray King and Elder Harold Pittman. Burial will be in the Cooper Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Mc-Clure Funeral Home in Mebane Thursday afternoon from 2 until 3:30 prior to the service and at other times at the residence.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215 or the Pink Ribbon Fund at Norville Breast Care Center, Attn: Sheena Lambert, 1236 Huffman Mill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
