Betty Sue Andrews Small, 84, of Burlington, NC passed away at Ashton Place and Rehabilitation Center on Tuesday, September 2, 2025.
A native of Guilford County, she was the wife of the late Lynn Hoffman Small and daughter of Percy Andrews and Martha Foust Andrews, both deceased. She was a graduate of Gibsonville High School where she was Valedictorian of her class. Betty loved being a homemaker and raising her children. She also enjoyed being a substitute teacher for the school system and serving as a 4H Leader. Betty was a member of Springwood Presbyterian Church where she served as past President of the Women’s Circle. She also served in many other positions within the church.
Survivors include two sons, Jerry Small and wife Wanda W. Small and Ed Small and wife Faith; three grandchildren, Jerry Small, II and wife Jessica, Jeffrey W. Small, and Ryan Small and wife Whitney; three great grandchildren, Lilly-Claire Small, Tate Andrews Small, and Boone Edward Small; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
The funeral service will be conducted at Springwood Presbyterian Church on Thursday, September 4, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the committal service.
