Ramona Perry Somers
BURLINGTON – Ramona Perry Somers, 79, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Alamance Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family.
She was born on December 15, 1937 in Alamance County to the late Roy Perry and Vivian Woodlief Perry and was the wife of 16 years to John Donald Somers who survives.
Ramona retired from textiles and was of the Baptist faith. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother and sister who will be dearly missed.
Survivors other than her husband, John Somers include her sons, Robert “Bobby” Webster III, Brian Webster and significant other, Pam Abner, Gary Webster and wife, Carolyn, Jeff Webster and significant other, Virginia Rogers; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; step son, Don Somers, Jr., and wife, Tracy; step-daughter, Donna Vines and husband, Henry; four step-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Connie Reyna and Linda Knight and husband, Gary; brother, Alan Perry and wife, Judy; special niece, Teresa Perry; special nephew, Lynn Perry; her canine babies, Roxie, Cody and Rocky; and her feline babies, Buddy and Pearl.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Kenneth James Webster; step daughter, Robin Wicker; and brothers, Roy Leonard Perry, Sr. and Wayne Perry.
The funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2017 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Bill Gindlesperger with the burial to follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Monday prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at Gary’s home.
