Edna Thomas Odell
JAMESTOWN — Mrs. Edna Thomas Odell, 88, died at Shannon Gray Rehabilitation and Recovery Center on Friday, Oct. 17, 2014, at 12:53 a.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Johnny Leroy Odell and the daughter of Eulis Thomas and Annie Perry Thomas, both deceased. She was a former hosiery mill worker. Edna was a member of City Lake Baptist Church in Burlington. She loved her church and her family.
Survivors include two granddaughters, Kristi Flynt and husband Jeremy and Stephanie Petty; three sisters, Edith Wall, Janice Walker and husband Larry and Annie “Sis” Thomas; brother, Larry Dean Thomas; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Odell Petty, four brothers and two sisters.
The funeral service will be conducted at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Burlington on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014, at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014, from 5 until 7 p.m.
