Burlington – Robert “Bob” James Reavis, Jr., age 80, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, August 18, 2011 at his home after several months of failing health. He was the husband of nearly 50 years to Alice Madren Reavis of the home and was born January 22, 1931 to the late Robert James Reavis, Sr. and Grace Forsyth Reavis.

Robert was retired from Alamance County as a computer programmer and previously worked with Burlington Industries. He was a member of Piedmont Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, a sister, Allene Jones, a brother, Jack Reavis and wife Hazel, four nieces and one nephew.

A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Friday at Alamance Memorial Park by Pastor Richard E. Hildebrandt. The family will receive friends 1:00-1:45 PM Friday at Lowe Funeral Home and other times at the home. 3, Robert James Reavis, Jr.
