BURLINGTON — Mrs. Peggy Lee Waller Gilliam, 68, of 405 Pine Grove Drive, died at 11:17 a.m., Monday, Nov. 17, 2014, at her home. She was born in Alamance County, employed with LabCorp as a dispatcher and attended Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Charles Claude Waller and Eleanor Sue Lea Waller and a brother Robert Waller.
Surviving are husband Frederick “Fred” Boswell Gilliam of the home; sons Thomas Gilliam and wife Stacey Blanchette Gilliam of Texas, Joshua Craig Gilliam and wife Holly McDonald Gilliam of Burlington;
grandchildren Mackenzie Gilliam and Cooper Gilliam; aunt, Minnie Roe Roach; cousins Donna Gayle Hudson, Gerry Webster and Warren Webster; sister-inlaw, Patsy Waller.
A Memorial Service celebrating Peggy’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday , Nov. 22, 2014, in the McClure Funeral and Cremation Service Chapel , Graham . Officiating will be Chaplain Eddie Self. The family will receive friends following the service and at other times at the residence.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance / Caswell , 918 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
