GIBSONVILLE - Helen Greeson Michael, 92, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born in Guilford County to the late Charles Arlene Greeson, Sr. and Georgia Loy Greeson and was the wife of the late Glenn Eugene Michael.
Helen retired from Cone Mills after 48 years and was a longtime member of Friedens Lutheran Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother.
She is survived by hers sons, Don W. Michael, Voight Michael and Mark Michael all of Gibsonville; grandchildren, Voight (Lauire) Michael, Jr.; Pam (John) Owen, Amanda (Eric) Snyder, Maleigha Michael, Brian (Cameron) Michael and Adam Michael; great-grandchildren, Taylor (Kyle) Smith, Lauren (Jeph) Rogers, Camdyn Snyder, Kylie Michael, Christopher D. Michael, Michael Owenl and Landon Michael; greatgreat-grandchildren, Annistyn Smith and Nora Smith; daughter-in-law, Patsy Michael.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; son, David Gwean Michael; grandson, Chris Michael; brothers, Charles Arlen Greeson, Glen Greeson, John Henry Greeson, Bill and Burton Greeson; sisters, Alma Shoe, Mabel Greeson and Elaine Jones; daughter-inlaw, Jo Ann Michael.
The Michael family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Hospice for their kind and compassionate care for Helen during her illness.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Friedens Lutheran Church by Rev. Bill Zima and burial will follow at Alamance Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6- 8 p.m. on Friday at Lowe Funeral Home and Crematory and other times at the home.
