William Howard Loy, 84, of 2763 N.C. 100 died July 6, 1993, at Skilled Nursing Division of Alamance Memorial Hospital.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Elon College Community Church, where he was a member. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
A native of Alamance County, he was former owner and operator of Putt-Putt, and operator of Huey & Loy Grocery and Service Station. At his church, he was a lifetime deacon and former member of the Board of Trustees. He was a charter member of the Elon College Exchange Club, and former member of the Board of Directors of Putt-Putt Golf Courses of America.
Surviving are wife, Mrs. Juanita G. Loy; daughter, Mrs. Jean Loy Toms of Eden; sisters, Mrs. Josie Huey of Elon College, Miss Leola Loy, Mrs. Janice Newman, both of Burlington; brother, Ervin Loy of Elon College, Eugene Loy, Freeman Loy, both of Burlington, Leige Loy of Paulsboro, N.J., Keith Loy of Burlington, Bill Loy of Elon College, Leon Loy of Burlington; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
The family will be at Rich & Thompson Funeral Home 7-9 tonight.
