November 22, 1928 ~ December 23, 2021 (age 93)
Rebecca “Becky” Southard Mann, 93, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at ARMC. She was a native of Alamance County and the daughter of the late Walte Lee and Mable Fracis McIntyre Southard, and was the wife of the late H.W. Mann who died in 2004.
Becky attended Zion Chrisitan Church and was a homemaker. She was an avid UNC Tarheel basketball fan and enjoyed traveling with her family and friends. The joy of her life was being a mother to her sons and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons, Gary Mann and wife, Carolyn of Conover and Michael > Man and wife, Dianne of Burlington; grandchildren, Tonya Mann and her partner, Debra Welch; Gary Mann, Jr. and wife, Wendy, Dodi Beamon and husband, Michael, Bridgette Rose and husband, Johnathan, Mitchell Mann and wife, Jennife and Michelle Mann; great grandchildren, Noah Mann, Jadyn Mann, Oliva Rose, Nathan Rose, Piper Beamon and Quinn Beamon; sisters, Edna Southard McClure and Glenda Gillispie both of Burlington and Bonnie Acon of New Berne. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents; son, Roger Mann and sisters, Dare Kernodle and Betty Walker.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00am Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Bonnie Alcon with the burial to follow at Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 4-6Pm on Tuesday at the funeral home.
