GRAHAM - Stonie Thomas Reaves, 80, a US Army veteran passed away peacefully at home on January 13, 2021.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, January 24, 2021 at Swepsonville United Methodist Church, 1306 E. Main St. Swepsonville, NC 27359 with Reverend Gordon Christiansen officiating. Military honors will follow the service at the church. The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall following the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Swepsonville United Methodist Church 1306 E. Main St. Swepsonville, NC 27359.

September 25, 1940 ~ January 13, 2021 (age 80)

Stonie Thomas Reaves, 80, of Graham passed away peacefully at home on January 13, 2021. 
Stonie was born in Person County, North Carolina on September 25, 1940. He was the son of the late Ernest Thomas Reaves and Ruth Conner Reaves. He was a US Army Veteran and had worked in the textile industry for many years before retirement.  Stonie enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf, and fishing.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Cynthia Isley and Bobbie Jean Mabe, a grandson Dustin Perry and a sister Marie Rudder. 
Surviving is his wife of 59 years, Joan Snead Reaves; two daughters, Rhonda Perry (Barry Perry) and Wendy Rumley (a special friend Tommy Talley); a son Rodney Reaves; six grandchildren, Brittany Perry (Christopher Reavis), Somer Isley, Hayley Rumley, Sydney Isley, Bradley Rumley, and Alexandria Reaves; two great grandchildren, Alexander Reavis and Abigail Reavis; two sisters, Anne Moore and Stella Strouth; two brothers, Randolph Reaves and Steve Reaves and numerous other family members and good friends.
