BURLINGTON — Betty Barber Faucette, 88, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at the Alamance House. She was born March 7, 1927, in Alamance County to the late Charlie Howard and Violet Wrenn Barber and was married to the late L.H. Faucette Jr. for 56-1/2 years. Betty attended Bethel United Methodist. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter Melissa “Missy” Wood of Colorado Springs, CO; a son Mark Faucette of Sparks, NV; grandchildren, Doug Wood, Jeff (Sarah) Wood, Davis Faucette and Alex Faucette; a daughterin-law Sandy Faucette; a sister Frances “Frankie” (Tom) Tomerlin of Gibsonville; sisters-in-law, Emogene Faucette of Burlington, Becky Barber of Elon and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; a son Elliot W. Faucette and a brother Fred Barber.
The funeral will be held 11 a.m. Monday at Lowe Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Lowe Funeral Home & Crematory Inc. and at other times at Sandy Faucette’s home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
