Elliot Wade Faucette
   BURLINGTON — Elliot Wade Faucette, 55, died suddenly Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013, at Alamance Regional Medical Center.

   He was born in Alamance County to the late Lewis Henry “L.H.” Faucette Jr. and Betty Barber Faucette, who survives, and the husband of 30 years to Sandra Gregory Faucette, who survives.

   Elliot was a proud stayat-home dad who truly loved spending time with his family. He was a graduate of Western Alamance High School and NC State University. Elliot was a member of Burlington Christian Church for 30 years, where he had served as deacon, worship leader and Sunday School teacher. He was a former member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Elliot was a former fi refi ghter and EMT with the Faucette Volunteer Fire Department for more than 25 years and was currently serving as Treasurer of the Board of Directors. Elliot worked part-time for the Alamance Burlington School System, was serving as President of the Altamahaw-Ossipee PTA and was a den leader for Cub Scout Pack 142.

   He is survived by his wife, Sandra; sons, Davis and Alex Faucette, all of the home; mother, Betty B. Faucette of Burlington; sister, Melissa “Missy” Wood of Colorado Springs, Colo.; brother, Mark L. Faucette of Sparks, Nev.; special aunt, Emogene Faucette of Burlington; nephews, Doug Wood of Colorado, Jeff Wood and wife Sarahjane of Pennsylvania; motherin-law, Ruby Gregory;

   sister-in-law, Brenda Martin; special cousin, Jerry A. Beckom, all of Burlington; and many other cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

   He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Lewis Henry and Florence Beckom Faucette and Charlie Howard and Violet Wrenn Barber.

   The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Minister Creighton Beatty, with interment to follow in Alamance Memorial Park.

   The family will receive friends from 2 until 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home and at other times at the residence.
