Bernice Adeline Hall Carroll
HIGH POINT - Mrs. Bernice Adeline Hall Carroll, 89, resident of Burlington, died March 29, 2019 at Westchester Manor in High Point.
Mrs. Carroll was born August 19, 2019 in Alamance County, a daughter to the late Luther Hall and Flossie Murray Hall. She was a resident of the Burlington area all her life and was a member of Florence Memorial Baptist Church.
Surviving are two sisters, Margaret Hall and Libby Doneven; one brother, Wayne Hall; three grandchildren, Blane Carroll and wife Whitney, Chris Carroll and Mike Carroll; and a granddaughter, Kelsey Lucas and husband Eric. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hassell Carroll; sons, Blake, Ricky, Kip and Dwight Carroll; two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Florence Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Florence officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church. Interment will be held later that day at Mt. Zion Christian Church Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the organization of the donor’s choice. James Hassell Carroll
BURLINGTON — James Hassell Carroll, 80, of 6569-A Union Ridge Road, died Monday, May 24, 2004, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after five years of failing health.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Bernice Hall Carroll, who survives, and the son of the late James and Martha Hensley Carroll. He was retired from Culp Finishing and was a member of Florence Memorial Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in World War II.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include three grandchildren, Blane Carroll of High Point, and Chris Carroll and Mike Carroll, both of Burlington; and a sister, Viola Madren of Burlington.
He was preceded in death by four sons, Kip H. Carroll, Dwight D. Carroll, Ricky T. Carroll, and J. Blake Carroll; four brothers; and two sisters.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by the Rev. James L. Florence. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Christian Church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the residence. [17537]
