Margaret “Meg” Reynolds Waddell
ELON — Mrs. Margaret “Meg” Reynolds Waddell, 61, of 102 Franz Court, Elon died at the Hospice Home on Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at 5:05 p.m. after years of declining health and eight weeks of critical illness.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Jim Waddell, who survives and the daughter of R.J. Reynolds and Hazel Neal Reynolds of Orangeburg, S.C., both deceased. Meg was a graduate of Elon University and a graduate of New River Community College. She worked as a paralegal for attorneys in North Carolina andVirginia. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Elon.
In addition to her beloved husband Jim, survivors include a brother, Dr. Neal Reynolds and wife, Mary Jane, of Columbia, S.C. and nephews, Nate, Luke and Rem. In addition, she leaves behind numerous cherished friends from Dublin, Virginia; Orangeburg, South Carolina; and Williamsburg, Virginia, as well as her constant canine companion, Butch.
A memorial service will be conducted at First United Methodist Church of Elon, N.C. on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at 1 p.m. with the family receiving friends following the service.
