Glenda Faye Jones Summers, 75, of Gibsonville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, following a brief illness.
She was born in Newport News, Va. and was the loving wife of Jerry Summers, who survives and the daughter of Glen and Magonia Lucille Baldwin Jones.
Glenda retired from Lorillard Tobacco where she worked as an operator for many years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and her sweet dogs.
In addition to her husband of their home, she is survived by two sons, Allen Blevins (Niki), Kevin Blevins; three stepchildren, Amber Summers (Quentin Leonard), Jesse Summers (Amanda), Jacob “Jake” Summers; five grandchildren, Amber, Hunter (Lauren), Adam (Taylor), Clay and Johnny; three great grandchildren, Laikyn, Weston and Maelynn; step-father, Jim Prevette; four special friends, Karen James (Steve) and Bryan Beaver (Sue); and so many other dear family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Glen Jones and Magonia Baldwin Prevette; and two sisters, Carol Lewis and Denise Hole.
The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Burlington on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.
Glenda had a big heart for her animals. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a local animal shelter.
