Mrs. Tina Mooneyham Cheek, 57, of Burlington passed away at her residence on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 3:25 p.m.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of Terry Scott Cheek, who survives and the daughter of Wayne Frederick Mooneyham and Christine Oakley Mooneyham, both deceased.
She was a graduate of Western Alamance High School and Kings College.
Tina was co-owner of Brown & Company in Elon and former manager of Huey’s Restaurant and the Blue Ribbon Diner, both in Burlington.
In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include one son, Tanner Cheek and wife Mattie of Portland, OR; a daughter, Shannon Cheek of Burlington; brother, Jeffrey Mooneyham and wife Linda of Elon; sister, Anna Teague and husband Randy of Cameron; two sistersin-law, Cathy Mooneyham of Edenton and Pam Smith and husband Chuck of Charlotte; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved dachshund, D.J.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Wayne Mooneyham.
A celebration of her life will be held at her residence, 526 Whitt Avenue, Burlington, NC on Saturday, August 18, 2018 beginning at 12 p.m. At other times the family will also be at the residence.
Memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 or to Angel Wings Adult Care, 2844 Altamahaw Union Ridge Road, Burlington, NC 27217.
