Wayne Mooneyham
BURLINGTON — Wayne Mooneyham, 81, of 907 Line Road, Cameron, N.C. (residing with his daughter), and formerly of 510 Logan St., Burlington, passed away at 8 a.m. on Saturday, May 22, 2010, after one year of failing health.
A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of the late Christine Oakley Mooneyham and the son of the late Ernest and Rosa Andrews Mooneyham. He was a HVAC contractor for 61 years, a member of the First Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, and a former Alamance County Commissioner.
He is survived by two sons, Tommy Mooneyham and his wife Cathy and Jeffrey Mooneyham and his wife Linda all of Elon; two daughters, Anna Teague and her husband Randy of Cameron and Tina Cheek and her husband Terry of Burlington; special nephew, David Mooneyham and family; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, E. Lynn Mooneyham and Earl Reid Mooneyham.
The family would like to recognize and thank son-inlaw, Randy Teague, for his special devotion and care.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington. The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service.
