Warren “W.D.” Yarbrough
 
 BURLINGTON — Mr. Warren “W.D.” Yarbrough, 61, of Burlington died at UNC Hospitals on Friday, June 13, 2014. He was surrounded by his loving family. He fought a courageous battle against leukemia. He is now in the presence of the Lord.
 
 A native of Alamance County, he was the husband of Connie Sumner Yarbrough, who survives and the son of Herman Woodrow “Sam” Yarbrough and Roan Warren Yarbrough, both deceased. He was employed with the Alamance-Burlington School System as the Executive Director of Facilities. W. D. attended Hillside Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Alamance County Electrical Contractor’s Association.
 
 In addition to his wife of the home, survivors include a daughter, Natalie Yarbrough Wright (Ben) of Burlington; brother, Wayne Yarbrough (Susan) of Burlington; sister and brotherin-law, Tim and Cathy Tarlton of Leland; and nieces and nephews, Jonathan Tarlton (Abby), Jennifer Tarlton Adams (Jonathan), Leigh Yarbrough, O’Brien Jones; and his dogs, Sampson and Beckleigh.
 
 He was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Yarbrough Jones.
 
 The funeral service will be conducted at St. Mark’s Church on Tuesday,
 
June 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. by Rev. Tim Robinson and Rev. Bill Prince. Burial will follow in Magnolia Cemetery.
 
 The family will receive friends at the Rich & Thompson Funeral and Cremation Service in Burlington on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. At other times the family will be at the residence. (Additional parking will be available on Forestdale Drive.)
 
 In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (You may donate online at www.lls.org) or to Hillside Presbyterian Church, 3743 Maple Avenue, Burlington, NC 27215.
