OBITUARIES Mr. Dewey Faucette Massey
    BURLINGTON — Mr. Dewey Faucette Massey, 77, of 3049 N.C. 49 North, died at 7:45 p.m. Sunday, May 9, 2004 at the Hospice Home.
    A native of Caswell County, he was the husband of Mrs. Frances Allison Massey, who survives, and the son of the late Elmo Faucette Massey and Ollie Massey Massey. He was a retired carpenter and was of the Baptist faith.
    Survivors other than his wife of the home include two daughters, Mrs. Karen Massey Hargove of Graham and Mrs. Sherry Massey Durham and husband, Frankie, of Burlington; a son, Mr. Gary F. Massey and wife, Mary, of Burlington; seven grandchildren; one great-stepgrandchild; and two sisters, Mrs. Allene Murray of Mebane and Mrs. Bertha Fisher of Titusville, Fla.
    He was preceded in death by a brother, Albert Massey; and a sister, Mrs. Annie Riley.
    The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, 2004, at the Rich & Thompson Chapel in Graham by Elder Wallis Smith, and the Rev. Charles Seay Jr. Burial will be in Long’s Chapel United Church of Christ cemetery.
    The family will be at the Rich & Thompson Funeral Home in Graham from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the residence.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Long’s Chapel Cemetery Fund, c/o, Perry Slade, 871 Border Lake Trail, Burlington, N.C. 27217 or to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
