GRAHAM — Gearline Rice Ray Paulette , 69, of 3851 N.C. 54 East, died Thursday, March 10, 2005, at Evergreen Nursing Home in Greensboro.
A native of Orange County, she was the wife of Curtis Samuel Paulette , who survives, and the daughter of Annabelle Ball Rice , who survives, and the late William T. "Bill" Rice .
She was retired from Burlington Industries and owned and operated a day care. She was a member of Mebane Presbyterian Church and also was a past Little League cheerleader coach.
Survivors other than her husband of the home and her mother of Mebane include three sons, Stanley (Nancy) Ray and Todd (Peggy) Ray , all of Burlington and Larry (Tammy) Ray of High Point; a daughter, Wanda (David) Haynes of Burlington; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Doris Franklin of Swepsonville, and Jean Fox and Morine Mills, both of Mebane; and two brothers, Bobby Rice and Donald Rice , both of Mebane.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Bob Tilley.
The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday prior to the service, and at other times will be at the residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Western Carolina Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, 3800 Shamrock Drive, Charlotte, N.C. 28215-3220.
