GRAHAM — Mr. Curtis Samuel Paulette, 81, of 3851 N.C. 54 E., died at his residence Friday, Dec. 14, 2012, after one month of declining health.
Curtis was born in Nottoway County, Va. He worked in textiles, was of the Methodist faith and served his nation honorably in the United States Army where he fought in battle as a tank driver in the Korean War.
He is survived by his stepdaughter, Wanda Haynes and husband, David, of Haw River; stepsons, Stanley Ray and wife, Nancy, of Burlington, Larry Ray and wife, Tammy, of High Point, and Todd Ray and wife, Peggy, of Bonita Springs, Fla.; a sister, Francis Rumley, of Graham; 10 step-grandchildren; and a host of stepgreat-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Curtis was preceeded in death by his wife, Geraline Rice Paulette; parents, Samuel Atterson Paulette and Olis Wood Paulette Clark; and two brothers, William Eldridge Paulette and Keith Cecil Paulette .
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, in the Cedar Cliff United Methodist Church Cemetery.
The body will remain at the Mc-Clure Funeral Home in Graham until taken to the cemetery for services.
