GRAHAM — Mrs. Peggy Holt McCarter, 72, died Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, at 5:25 a.m. at Alamance Regional Medical Center
She was a member of Emanuel United Methodist Church and retired from CulpWeaving.
She is survived by her husband, William Ronald Mc-Carter of the home; daughters, Darlynn McCarter of Wake Forest and Sandra Leach and husband Bill of Forest, Va.; father, Hugh Holt; sister, Wanda Holt Cross and husband Joe of Winston-Salem; brother, Milton Holt and wife Frances of Williamsburg, Va.; and grandchildren, Holt and Frances Broadhurst, and Will, Caitlyn and Noah Leach.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Cable Holt.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 5, 2009, at Emanuel United Methodist Church with the Rev. Neal Salter officiating.
Burial will be at Alamance Memorial Park
The visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009, at the Mc-Clure Funeral Home in Graham, and other times at the residence.
Memorials may be made to the Alamance Community College Foundation (Ronald and Peggy McCarter Scholarship) at 1247 Jimmie Kerr Road, Graham, N.C. 27253 or to the Emanuel United Methodist Church at 2331 La Vista Drive, Burlington, N.C. 27215.
